... For "Pulps", his new work group, Rappenecker has taken US horoscope and life style mags, from which he has extracted individual sentences, reworking them in form and contents. Using letter stamps, the sentences are impressed on a moist slab of clay. Thanks to this process, each clay block is turned into a tactile surface in which finger-prints are visible as the traces of the work performed. These aluminium casts thus possess a poetic skin with a sensuos and almost living feel to it. ... The sentences interweave to form a future, a metamorphosis of possibilities.
